Random PDF Generator creates valid test documents at an exact requested byte size. Every page combines visible grayscale noise, colorful shapes, varied text, and small surprises so generated files do not all look alike.

How to use

Create a random test PDF in three steps:

  • Choose a document style and enter the exact file size you need.
  • Select the page format, orientation, and whether to load the generated preview.
  • Generate the PDF, explore its varied pages, and download the exact-size file.

How it works

The generator uses real visible page content to reach the requested size instead of attaching hidden padding:

  • Convert the selected decimal or binary size into an exact byte target.
  • Plan enough pages to keep each visible random image at a manageable resolution.
  • Turn size-filling random bytes into uncompressed grayscale pixels and place those images differently on every page.
  • Add varied words, font sizes, colors, shapes, page labels, and occasional duck references.
  • Calculate PDF object offsets and adjust the final visible payload until the file matches the target exactly.

Random PDF questions

Are the extra random bytes visible?

Yes. Bytes used to reach the target size become grayscale pixels inside image objects that are placed on the PDF pages. The file still contains normal non-visible PDF syntax required to describe those pages.

Can it create every possible file size?

It can create exact sizes from the displayed minimum up to the browser-safe maximum. Values below the minimum cannot contain the structure required for a valid visible one-page PDF.

Why can a large PDF use a lot of memory?

The completed PDF must remain available in browser memory until download. Generation works in small chunks, and disabling the preview avoids loading a second PDF rendering pipeline for large files.

Why does my PDF mention a duck?

That is a tiny easter egg. Every generated document contains at least one duck reference, while the other words, colors, and layouts vary.
